Denis Barrett MBA, is the Owner/ Managing Director of Denis A Barrett Auctioneers and Property Consultants.  He has completed his Executive Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from UCC and he is a member in good standing with the Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers, the National Auctioneers Association in North America, the Confederation of European Real Estate Agents and is a Certified International Real Estate Consultant with the International Real Estate Institute. 

Denis is dedicated customer service and client satisfaction, his motto is “doing more than you are paid for”. The customer always comes first and all Denis’ previous experience and, indeed, his continued professional development are based on benefiting the client to ensure the best possible service and real value for money is received.

Denis realises the enormous emotional strain the sale of assets can have on individuals, families or organizations, therefore every transaction is handled with the utmost care and compassion ensuring that the needs of the customer are met.  

He has also an unwavering passion for the Public Auction Method of Marketing. It is his belief that it is preeminent method of marketing an asset in order to ascertain the true Market Value of an item on any given day when align carefully planned marketing strategies.

Denis’ began in Auctioneering in Ireland in 1997, and since then has conducted in excess of 500 Public Auctions in almost all asset classes.  He conducted his first international Auction in Germany when aged just 23, and has since officiated as lead Auctioneer for Auctions in Ireland, U.K., Germany and North America.

Denis strives to maintain the highest standards in all aspects of his business and through continued education at the World College of Auctioneers in America.

Due to Denis’ knowledge and experience he is the Exclusive Agent for Europe, Russia, and Eastern Europe for Williams and Williams which is the largest Real Estate Auctioneer operating in all 52 states of the U.S.

He has been working as a Livestock Sales man for over 13 years and has conducted Livestock Auctions here in Ireland as well as in Germany and England. Denis has won All-Ireland Showmanship and Stock Judging competitions, he has also represented Ireland at International competitions and he has been the department of Agriculture approved Valuer since the "On Farm Market Valuation Scheme" was introduced in 2001.   Denis is recognised as an official Auctioneer for the Irish Holstein Friesian Association.

Pat Collins - AMIET, KHS

Pat has been working with Denis A Barrett Property Consultants since 2006. Pat joined the company as a Senior Valuer and Commercial Negotiator. With over 30 years experience in the property industry, Pat is a valued part of the team. Pat spent the first part of his career in the construction and property industry in Scotland. He was involved in some notable projects such as the building of Edinburgh Airport, St. James Square, and Sterling Town Centre. Having gained a comprehensive and professional understanding of the construction and property industry in the UK, Pat sought new challenges and returned to Ireland. In 1982, he joined Carey Sheehan Auctioneers, in Cork. Pat then went on to form one-half of the partnership, which established Carey Collins and enjoyed many years of success. After a short time in semi-retirement, he decided to return to the job he knows and loves and joined Denis A Barrett Property Consultants, bringing with him extensive knowledge and experience. He is a member of A.M.I.E.T.
