If you have 1-20 animals to sell online only is ideal as your costs are minimised and you can still create a sales event around your stock.
Would your stock benefit from individual marketing?
Maybe you have some animals with unique breeding that you feel sets them apart, online allows you to market each individual animal to a large audience nationally and internationally.

Transport costs are a growing issue, selling online directly off the farm removes this cost to the seller. Selling directly off farm also attracts a different buyer who is cautious of the potential disease contamination at marts.

What costs are involved with selling online?
A small admin fee dependant on the number of animals and the cost of any additional services such as photos/videos/clipping that you choose to add to your package. You will also set your own marketing budget to include any print media you require; all social media promotion/advert creation is inclusive in your admin fee.

Step 1
Contact us to today and we’ll discuss your requirements and determine the best method to sell your stock.
Step 2
You’ll receive an auction proposal and agreement to sign if you choose to proceed in using Denis Barrett Auctions to sell your stock.
Step 3
A representive visits your holding to catalogue, photograph, and video your animals, 3 weeks before your sale we create your auction online and begin marketing your stock.
Step 4
Your auction goes live for 3 days before slow closing in lot order. This allows everyone to be able to bid and set absentee bids if they can’t attend.
Step 5
The auction closes and we invoice all the buyers and collect payments on your behalf. Once payment is received we inform you that the animal can be released to the buyer and you process the movement.
Step 6
You receive your seller’s statement with the funds deposited either by cheque or bank transfer.

Great clearance and average at the Grangecon Youngstock Online Only Auction.
Congratulations to Anthony and Tony Kealy and Family and to all involved on another successful sale.
The Top price was €2,250 for Lot 8 Grangecon Shower Red 1753, with lot 20 Grangecon Shower Red 1765 also bringing a headline €1,550.
There was a 70% clearance of Grangecon calves with an overall average of €759.
Average for age categories as follows:
Sept/Oct 21 Calves averaged €942.
Nov/ Dec 21calves averaged €773.
Jan plus 22 calves averaged €475.
With 1 – 2022 bull calf selling for €300.
These prices were a true reflection of Grangcon’s breeding philosophy attracting a premium in an exceptionally difficult market.

The super selection of 30 incalf Fleckvieh Heifers, hand-selected by Fleckvieh Irl LTD direct from Austria was met with high prices & a strong average.
30 head went under the hammer through our bidding platform this evening with a 100% clearance to achieve an average of €3,210

Congratulations to the Spillane Family and to all involved on another super headline success.
There was 100% clearance of females with a top price of €3,200. The in-calf heifers averaged €2,534 gns and the 2021 calves averaged €1,525 gns. With 5 – 2021 bull calves selling for an average of €1,733 gns.
These prices were a true reflection of the Mountain breeding philosophy. The consistency, longevity, production, and protein of this tremendous herd were evident throughout each and every animal on show whether in the sales ring or in the field.
We would like to thank and congratulate all the purchasers on their super investment. We would also like to thank Shane Murphy and The Irish Farmers Journal Mart Bids app.
There was an 87% clearance on the day with all unsold animals being retained on the farm for the new operator. 4 animals sold to the UK. We had 20% of all animals sold online.
I would like to thank Paul Murphy and his team Brendan Greenan and Christy McCarthy for preparing the animals. I would like to thank all Jerome’s neighbours and friends for helping make the sale run smoothly. I would like to thank Micheal & Breda for all their hospitality. I would like to thank Jerome for choosing us to conduct the sale, all be it a bittersweet occasion.

Congratulations to all those the donors and purchasers for the “Driving On For Cathy” Charity Auction, which was held on the 29th of December 2020.
Over €18,000 was raised tonight on the Driving on for Cathy Auction.
The auction consisted of 45 lots, with people pre-bidding and actively bidding online form their own living rooms during the live close.
The auction was all run through our state of the art software, which allow for live simulcast online auctions, which pushes the buyers on the spend just a little more and every bit helps in these unprecedented times.
All money raised will go to the Irish Cancer Society, Galway Hospice and Mayo/Roscommon Hospice.
